Erik Mills
Partner, Attorney at Law
I am a criminal defense attorney with approximately a decade of litigation experience and a strong focus on detailed case preparation. I have tried 35 cases to verdict and litigated thousands of motions. I handle both felony and misdemeanor cases throughout the Inland Empire, with particular attention to complex motion work and the kind of legal research that can make the difference in close cases.
I represent clients at every stage of a case, from preliminary hearings through trial and sentencing. I also handle post-conviction matters, including resentencing petitions under recent changes in California law. I approach motion practice with the same level of care and precision I bring into the courtroom. My view is straightforward: the work done behind the scenes, including research, discovery review, and motion strategy, is what ultimately drives results.
In addition to criminal defense, I handle family law and employment matters. This includes support modifications, dissolutions, and FEHA claims. I bring the same level of preparation to these cases, whether I am dealing with discovery disputes, opposing strategic delays, or developing reimbursement arguments. I treat thorough preparation and careful legal analysis as essential in every matter.
I live in the San Bernardino Mountains and work to serve that community, understanding firsthand the unique challenges mountain communities face in accessing quality legal counsel. I’m committed to representing my neighbors and clients throughout Southern California with the skill and precision they deserve.
Outside of work, I’m an avid baseball fan who volunteers as both a coach and an umpire in the local youth baseball community. That role reflects the same emphasis on communication, fairness, and preparation that shapes my legal practice.
